The company was founded in 1960 by Romano Franceschelli who, once turner, then mechanical designer and at last mechanical engineer, began his business manufacturing auto spares. Problems he had to tackle to turn shafts of different dimension and type were the incentive for research and development of equipment such us the live center with load distribution and afterwards, the face driver with a mechanical self compensating system of the driving pins. These products had results so much satifactory that they were patented, produced and marketed by Tecnologie FRB Company. In the following years, FRB was engaged to expand the range of the new products by introducing face drivers and live centers for gear cutting and grinding, live centers for pipe grinding, dead center in hard metal and so on, and at the improvement of the products in existence and princpally to achieve an high qualitative standard. The result was not long-awaited, in fact, in early eighties, Tecnologie FRB was recognized Leader firm in its sector.
