LIVE CENTERS FOR GEAR CUTTING
Tecnologie FRB “series 82” produces live centres for gear cutting taking into account the peculiarities of this type of work. In this application, all of the bearings are roller bearings to guarantee maximum rigidity. It is therefore well-suited for machining with interrupted cuts where the dimensions of the body are kept smaller in order to allow the cutting tool to pass alongside the live centre. Neither is it necessary to reach high rotation speeds. Extraction rings and side seals once more ensure the high quality of the product.
Problems related to the encumbrance of the cutting tool have also been considered in the case of the shafts. Geometries of different shafts have been prepared for every requirement, including the option of fitting cone shaped rings.
To further increase rigidity, Tecnologie FRB constructs the central shaft in steel with a hardened core.
